Luxury real estate recently took a downturn in sales but Elton John ducked the deflection. The veteran singer recently made a massive sale off his Atlanta condo. Initially, the house was listed for $4.995 million in September this year. However, it was purchased at the whopping price of $7.2 million.

Although mainly residing in England, Elton had owned the condo for years using it as a temporary home while in America. With the singer's North American Farewell Tour just recently concluded, it was no longer necessary to maintain the American "home base."

The marketing technique employed for the sales of the luxurious four-bedroom apartment was effective as the present owner was willing to pay 45 percent more for the house. Below is the description of the official listing, which includes a clue about the home's former owner, an interesting addition to the remarkable sales strategy:

"Owned by the most successful solo artist in the history of the US Billboard charts, and one of the most revered artists worldwide, this residence is a living work of art and a true embodiment of international prestige. Step inside to discover an interior that defies expectations. Every room in this home has been meticulously designed to showcase one of the world's largest and most highly esteemed photography collections. As you wander through, you'll be treated to a symphony of spaces, each more captivating than the last. The views from this residence are nothing short of breathtaking, from the perfectly framed Midtown and Downtown skyline to the majestic Buckhead skyline, and the eastern and western canopy views that offer captivating sunrises and serene sunsets, you'll be treated to an ever-changing vista that will leave you in awe."

The architectural masterpiece consists of a wide interior space of approximately 13,500 square feet. Initially, however, Elton bought the complex in 1992 with just a 2,500-square-foot unit. Subsequently, he bought five more of the same unit, putting it all together to make up the vast space it covers presently. According to the listing, this enormous interior space specifically includes a living room large enough for a grand piano to occupy. The sale of John's condo at the rate of $7.225 million records as one of the largest in the real estate history of Atlanta, and it attempts to compete with the extant record for the most expensive single residence which is a 2019 condo sold for a little less than $14 million.
